Wooden Scene – Houses

As part of the Nordic Yuletide collection, this contemporary simplified street scene consists of three varied houses and a lollipop tree and some railings made of nail and wire. On the supporting block with the inscription ‘Family is everything’.

East of India is a small family business based in Kent which takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously. They have created a sustainable tree planting system in Indonesia which produces all the wood needed for their products. Trees are replanted to replace those felled. The land used is too dry for food production. They provide sustainable employment for their artisan workers giving them a living, using their traditional skills which have been passed down the generations.
